The Philadelphia Orchestra Carnegie Hall - Isaac Stern Auditorium Concert reviews
Tewksbury is a fabulous Phantom!
The beautifully restored Orpheum downtown was the setting for my 18-year-old daughter and I to attend the opening night of Phantom of the Opera. It was great that our seats were in the third row! My daughter, who has seen it onstage in London, Las Vegas, and here, mentioned that the Phantom in this production was the best of the three. Tewksbury, who plays the Phantom as a damaged human being (in our opinions, like Gerard Butler in the film), has a terrific voice and really good control of it, from whispering to booming. I agree that Stephen Tewksbury was much better when I saw the Las Vegas show with my daughter. I'm very glad we saw the show on a night when The Philadelphia Orchestra was the lead.
